The purpose of keeping the samples in a climatic chamber (T+H) is to determine the effect that a given temperature and humidity have on the material at a given time.
The tests are performed on samples in the solid state. They can be pieces of material of any shape. Dimensional limitations are related to the size of the chamber (100 cm x 100 cm x 100 cm).
Depending on the type of material, the tests are conducted in accordance with:
EN 13859-1:2014 Flexible sheets for waterproofing – Definitions and characteristics of underlays – Part1: Underlays for discontinuous roofing.
EN 13165:2012+A2:2016 Thermal insulation products for buildings – Factory made rigid polyurethane foam (PU) products – Specification.
EN 14509:2013 Self-supporting double skin metal faced insulating panels – Factory made products Specification.
As part of the testing of the PM&VL7 research line, Rothoblaas connections, membranes and tapes, Indresmat window frames and sandwich panels were examined.
