Xenon test is to determine the durability of the product performed by aging test caused by full-spectrum sunlight and rain. Using different types of optical filters, it enables useful correlation with natural exposures. The Xenon chamber has a spray system that allows water to be sprayed to simulate dew and rain. The device offers light, heat and relative humidity control.
The tests are conducted using the Q-Lab, Q-Sun XE-3-HSE - Xenon Test Chamber. Depending on the type of material, the tests are conducted in accordance with:
EN ISO 4892-1:2016 Plastics — Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources — Part 1: General guidance.
EN ISO 4892-2:2013 Plastics — Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources — Part 2: Xenon-arc lamps.
EAD 030350-00-0402 Liquid applied roof waterproofing kits.
As part of the testing of the PM&VL7 research line, Flex&Robust composites, injections and layers were examined.
