The goal of the test is to determine the peel adhesion of self-adhesive tape from stainless steel at an angle 180° and 90°. Peel adhesion shows the bond strength of a tape to the standard stainless steel panel.
The peel adhesion of self-adhesive tape from stainless steel is determined according to EN ISO 29862 - Self-adhesive tapes - Determination of peel adhesion properties.
To perform the test a universal testing machine Z1200 Zwick/Roell equipped with special grips and measuring equipment by Hottinger Baldwin Masstechnik (universal amplifier HBM Quantum MX-840B – with CATMAN EASY AP software and tensile force transducer of nominal (rated) force appropriate to the strength of tested material (HBM S2M/1000N) is used.
As part of the testing of the PM&VL7 research line, Rothoblaas tapes were examined.
