The low temperature cracking measurement is to determine the resistance of tested element against low temperature cracking performed by measuring temperature and force and determining cryogenic stress. The tests are caried out using the MTS Landmark servohydraulic testing system of 100 kN with special grips for fixing the sample and Mytron temperature chamber to perform cooling tests to the temperature of  - 40 °C, in accordance with modified procedure:
EN 12697-46 Bituminous mixtures – Test methods – Part 46: Low temperature cracking and properties by uniaxial tension tests,
As part of the testing of the PM&VL7 research line, Indresmat window frames were examined.
