Extended-stress testing sequences for BIPV products

outdoor

Existing qualification test standards such as IEC 61215 standard series (for terrestrial PV modules) have been very useful for identifying module designs that avoid most early field failures, but are not intended or able to demonstrate long term performance in all locations. As the durability test described in IEC 61215, so that the main ones of EN 50583, cannot guarantee the long-term performance, new testing sequences to push the durability assessment of a BIPV solution to the limit has been developed. For this purpose, during MEZeroE project, in TECNALIA we have analysed the current standardization scheme and we offer a procedure that combines different test sequences for the fast design, development and testing of new BIPV products.
