The testing activities performed within Safety and accessibility in use include:
Water absorption is determined in accordance with EAD 040083-00-0404, Paragraph 2.2.5.
Hygrothermal behaviour where the specimen is exposed to artificial ageing by rain - heath - freez - thaw cycles and afterwards observed of eventual damage in order to evaluate the fitness for use in outdoor weather conditions. The testing activities are performed according to EAD 040083-00-0404, clause 2.2.6 and 2.2.7.
Hard body impact resistance tests are performed by pendulum impacting with steel balls before and after artificial ageing tests. The testing activities are performed according to EAD 040083-00-0404, clause 2.2.6 and 2.2-8.
Water vapour permeability is determined in accordance with EAD 040083-00-0404, Paragraph 2.2.9.
Hail resistance tests are performed by impacting the envelope element with frozen ice balls before and after artificial ageing tests. The testing activities are performed according to FM Approvals 4473.
Wind load resistance tests are based on the principle to establish the effect of pressure load on the envelope element. The testing activities are performed according to EAD 040287-00-0404, Annex F (modified method).
Burglar safety is determined based on standards SIST EN 1627:2021, SIST EN 1628:2021, SIST EN 1629:2021, SIST EN 1630:2021.
